Neither Xvesa nor Xorg work with GeForce 6200 Go

#1 Post by Wildwolf »

Hi! I'm trying using puppy linux on my laptop, which has an NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Go as video card. If I try to use X-VESA, the video card shows the desktop but with wrong colours. Instead, if I use X-ORG configuration, the screen is full by a single color that change regularly. How can I fix this problem? Sorry for my English, I'm Italian. And for my noob question too :P

I think you need to install the proper (and big :) ) Nvidia drivers.

Search the forum for a package. I think it will probably need to be specifically for your puppy (or at least a puppy with the same kernel). Or you can get them from Nvidia - but I think you might need to set up compiling to run their build script, in which case look at http://puppylinux.com/development/compileapps.htm
Do you know a good gtkdialog program? Please post a link here
