I have installed a HP DeskJet 722C printer using the pnm2ppa.ppd driver downloaded from www.linuxprinting.org in accordance with the Cups Web Interface Help (the unreadable purple Help screen that comes up when selecting the CUPS Printer Wizard). The printer is installed on parallel port #1.
Everything seems to be installed correctly. However, the printer won't print! It won't print a test page, it won't print a page from Leafpad, and it won't print a page from ePDFView. The printer prints very well in Win98SE, but I want to quit windows. The Printer on localhost - CUPS v1.1.23 screen wrote: Printer State: idle, accepting jobs.

I have been fighting and putting off installing the printer but, I need it now.
If I didn't need it I would be tempted to take a "Sledge Hammer" to both the *#$@%& old computer and the *#$@%& old printer! I have tried to RTFM so aj won't get me -- it didn't help much.
