@Vovchik: My goodness! What have I ever done to deserve such kind praise from such a good person yourself? For you, too, have always been such a great person to have had around on this forum! You've helped a lot of people, done a lot of software for Puppy, done a lot of trial software to help out people... All of this goes far and above the call of duty my fellow Puppian Friend. :)

Myself? I mainly make clownish comments. I don't so often help like when I first came here. Ask Mark! I was always trying out something new of his when I first came here. LOL! He helped me A LOT back then (still does of course!) and he was/is my "Linux Mentor". Just like I had one for Windows---Mark is mine for Linux. :)

@Mark: I've replied to your VERY generous offer in pvt msg my dear brother. You are too kind! I had to keep wiping the rivers of tears from my eyes to see the keyboard to type... (I don't touch-type LOL!)

Good-day gentlemen!

Amicalement,

Eyes-Only

MuppyQuickmount is pretty good too...though, the .pet does not give a success message at the end, and you need to ...uh, I forget, either restart X or reboot, to put it in your Filesystem menu...so, just reboot...

Imagine how wonderfully cool it would be if Muppy-Filer could read/sort ID3 Tags. The possibilities for managing USB mass storage type players are endless with such an option, and as far as I know, no other file manager can do this, meaning I have to use something code heavy like Amarok for the job. It would be great to be able to select all my songs by Genre, or Artist, or maybe Album, to transfer to my player instead of trying to remember these details.
Maybe this is not possible, but if it could be done, Muppy-Filer would be unique Maybe a switch on/off option?

I like Muppy-Filer way better than emelfm2. :)

too bad - there's not an puppy that only used Muppy-Filer solo (without rox).

Hi.

If you want Muppy-Filer to work from anywhere, including from the ROX desktop, put this
on line 2 of file /usr/local/Muppy-Filer/Muppy-Filer :

Code: Select all

cd /usr/local/Muppy-Filer
BFN.

G'day Pelo,

I regularly use Muppyfiler for file manipulations.

It was a "cutting edge" package of great quality, to keep sharp for 7 years :D .
