hi! I am a linux newbie and am using puppy 1.06. I have also downloaded the chubby version. I just want to ask if it is okay to run the chubby version or doing so would mess up the settings in the pup001 file that puppy 1.06 made? _________________ linux newbie |

It is not much of a problem (do we have a 106 Chubby?) but to be extra sure . . . go to /mnt/home and rename pup001 to Puppy_original_pup001 then use your new chubby - you will have to set it up again - if you use the original Puppy it will work but you may get errors with icons pointing nowhere . . . Hope that helps
