rcrsn when it comes to window managers, web browsers, software packages, graphics thats my area specialty, I've been known to make a few simple scripts and alter or build a few dialogs, but thats my limit. Other developers have other areas that they do well at. If you see a lot of post containing these areas its because I'm offering to do so and I'm very active in the forum, If I was able to say fix wireless networking or monitor displays I would, But thats not what I do well with, other developers are doing that in the background and don't really post much in the 4.2 section. So if its looks like its all bling it isn't other fixes and updates are continuously happening. Usually every release gets some sort of networking improvements. Since puppy 1.0 series the window manager was never changed and also only once or twice I think the browser wasn't Seamonkey, So what you see is groundbreaking for puppy and very exciting. If you have any fundamental concerns please state them.rcrsn51 wrote:I think, like everyone else who has suggested this over the last few years, that it's an excellent idea. What do you think?
Unfortunately, too much emphasis seems to be placed on selecting the appropriate window manager or web browser, at the expense of these fundamental concerns.
