I'd like to see these added....or links to pets/pups that would let me add them to this version:

Realplayer11
Dougals's remaster program
Midnigt Commander if not already there.

Thanks...looks like another winner.

Not trying to be rude but Did you even try searching the forum before asking?

Realplayer11 ---> proprietary, get it from the realplayer web page

Dougals's remaster program --> I have no clue what this is. Puppy comes with it's own remaster tools

Midnigt Commander ---> you should search before asking

Hi Thom,

Realplayer 11 is just way too heavy to include in a standard puppy. Did you mean to reply to a derivative thread?

Dougal's remaster script was incorporated into the main Puppy remaster script. If you need or want the earlier version, you will find it by selecting the Puppy 2 repositoriers in PETget and downloading from there (I think). If it isn't there as a separate package then it will be inside the 0rootfs_skeleton-xxx package.

Midnight Commander is an add-on and already available from the repositories. The Puppy Google Search is the best method for finding that.

Hope that helps. I know you've been around here long enough to have tried yourself before posting a request here, so I'm sure you just didn't have any luck when you looked for yourself.

I had meant to post in an area about a new derivative MU just released...sorry i posted in the wrong area.

Not trying to be rude....but if you looked at the forum as you tell me to do, you would see referernces to Realplayer being used in Puppy and perhaps even learn more about remastering.

Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the helpful information and the tactful way in which you referenced my error.

I had meant to reply to a thread at http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 084#268084

I got an md5sum error installing the mcplus pup, so I extracted it by hand and made a pet.
I added a .desktop file for the menu :)
