With the new upgrade of Hotmail Live users of SeaMonkey & Firefox can open and read their mail, but are unable to reply.

I found all of the info. in this article on the internet in different places. When you put it all together it works great.

First download and install the User Agent Switcher from Mozilla at:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59

Once the add-in is installed close SeaMonkey or Firefox and reopen.

Second on the Puppy desktop click on Edit and past the following code:

Code:
<useragentswitcher>
  <useragent description="Firefox for Win32"
  useragent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11"
  appname="Netscape"
  appversion="5.0 (Windows; en-US)"
  platform="Windows" vendor="Mozilla" vendorsub=""/>
</useragentswitcher>

Depending on which browser you are using save the file as either seamonkey.xml or firefox.xml

Third in the menu bar of the browser click Tools > User Agent Switcher > Options > Options > User Agents > Import

Select the .xml file you saved and click Open then OK

To use the new switcher for Hotmail, from the menu bar click Tools > User Agent Switcher > Firefox for Win32

Sit Heel Speak, easy method works great, no more request to upgrade browser, emails load much faster.
Sending, and now, forwarding works. everything works as it should...It's hard to believe something so simple works so good. If you use seamonkey browser you need to do the simple fix....Thanks

I don't know if available in the US yet, but M$ are finally making POP3 access availale on free HoTMaiL accounts, at least in Yurop:

Although the blog refers to accessing hotmail from a mobile device, it really refers to any mail program. I've tested it in Puppy 4.1.2 (whatever the mailer is I can't remember) and it's fine, although I haven't tried SM.
