Edit:
Hmmm!
Think I need a drink.
Because i never noticed the shade in RC3.
Unless the video is going.
No probs in XP??? just 5 minutes ago.
So my screen is the same RC3 to RC4..
///////////////
As usual used puppy pfix=ram
runs fine and then I see my desktop using
Xvesa as always....oops!
First time ever I've seen this...runs fine on RC3
Of course it could be my magnetic personality???
There is shade on 4th right quarter...sorry about the image size.
Couldn't quite see how to resize it.

Hmm, odd. Not my widget but I do this all the time after an upgrade, such as now.
If you open menu item Plugins, then select weather it should bring up highlighted line of the current setting (If you have set it already).
Clicking with mouse at end of line should allow you to delete back and then Enter name in Lower case.
I've just done that on this and two other machines. It fetches location in capitals and is applied, then reopen and alter to lower case.
Ah well.
There is also an update plugin for World Time in pwidgets thread which allows selection of area. It also should follow DST. The City field can be a name of users choice, so a unique identifier can be used. Such as 'Mum' 'Brother' etc.

WhoDo To answer your Questions, now I haven't been drinking, Actually come to speak about drinking, I haven't had a drop in 2 months, I do that every once and awhile, to give my liver a break, lol
I hope to hell I didn't burn the wrong iso image, boy I would look like a fool, hmmmmmmmm I deleted my pupsave and made a new one, it must be the iso mixup, oh by the way what issues with blinky, I tested that visual upgrade and freemomory on 3 machines and they all worked perfect on JWM? anybody else upgraded your blinky on JWM.
feel free to test it, heres a link and report back your findings.

Just a tip, but those who want the name not in capital, just run plugin again from menu and type over the name as you wish before re-applying.

Tried everything I can think of .. even editing /tmp/Weather.tmp!
Crab is a nice touch though...

This candidate is a disgrace
Why is the release candidate discarding the Puppy heritage of lean and mean to copy the world's worst operating system? Vista cursors, widgets and horrible GTK and JWM themes on top of the rancid new icon scheme make me want to drop puppy permanently. Programs have been stripped to make space for a glossy but gouged and bleeding UI and the old icon scheme has been scrapped for more 'modern' shiny themes.
Yaf-splashes now have super-clashing colour-schemes (green on yellow?) and the old dialog system has been replaced with text-boxes that look like you can edit them. Worst of all, Puppy is gaining more flab than you can poke truck at.
Is this moving forward or is this moving backward??? Puppy needs dogfood, not Vista bites
If this candidate represents the later releases of puppy, I'm leaving.

Yeah? 99Mib? Flab? Mate... behave.. Our Benevolent Dictator is trying to balance sex with functionality.
We here all know Puppy.
We do want to attract other users, be they from doze, buntu, driva, hat, who cares?
Mate, a little respect for ALL the devs putting in THEIR time. Did you?
Cheers buddy,
Thanks for your critique,

Now if you want it really small, remove window manager and go back to cli.
Now there's fun for you and no progress too

P.s just installed the updated blinky and its still works fine, Also I can see that the guys didn't put freememory applet back on the taskbar, You do know if we don't use pwidgets, then that puts everyone in the dark, I did talk about that one before. Freememory applet shouldn't be an option WhoDo.

Don't worry, I'm against having pwidgets installed by default, I find the default gtk2 theme way too dark. I have no use for Ptray and PMusic. Once the final is released, I'll release a unofficial version, with most of the bling, and useless programs removed. Anything else you don't like?

Hey WhoDo, I found a bug, well it bugs meeeeeeeee
You removed your nice icons from the last version and reverted back to the dreaded 'FlatOrange' Why, really it was only the default folder which was too flashy. Other than that, it was real nice.

Noooo, it is not a disgrace, have you ever looked in the mirror lately? If you know puppy well, then you know how the community is. The way you said your statement did not represents that you are a true puppian.
Cheers. ..

I didn't say "issues" I said "complications" - that means that the change at this stage may or may not work fine, BUT I don't need to complicate the process by throwing in another variable this late in the game. It is NOT a comment on the application supplied; just a statement about where the development process is at, ok?
...and you haven't had a drink in 2 months then maybe nows a good time to start because one of us isn't seeing straight anyway, so what's to lose?

One day, Jeff, you're gonna give me or someone else the benefit of the doubt BEFORE you fly off the axe handle, mate.

Actually I tried to put it back in myself, but couldn't get the JWM tray to <swallow> it. I decided then and there that if it was going to go back in then someone who knows what they're doing in JWM would have to do it.

Its part of my blinky update, I have both include in that tiny pet package.
The one from icewm is better because it has the rightclick menus/applications.
