Squash4 sfs files

#1 Post by Terryphi »

I have created openoffice-2.2.0-squash4.sfs for use with upup015 which uses the 2.6.29 kernel. Can we create a home for squash4 sfs files?

Sent a pm to caneri. Maybe he can host the file.

And please delete the other thread about this subject.

Yes, I am writing this from upup461. Unlike upup015 it uses kernel 2.6.28 and does not have squash 4.

However, I hope he will move to kernel 2.6.29 with squash 4 before the final Jaunty upup.

Well yes, Barry said in his blog that sfs 4 support isn't in there, but a if sfs 4 is present, older sfs files can't be loaded, if I understand well.

openoffice-2.2.0-squash4.sfs

#8 Post by Terryphi »

Upup463 (Alpha 5) with the 2.6.29 kernel now requires squash4fs .sfs files .

I have created openoffice-2.2.0-squash4.sfs for use with Upup. Experienced users will know how to create their own. If anyone else wants to try it, PM me and I will give you a download location at my website. It is a 95mb zipped file and there is another with the md5sum. Please note this is not suitable for earlier versions of Puppy.

Bear in mind I am in the UK so you may have to wait a while for a reply if you are in a different timezone.
