Mini-disk RW - working?

#1 Post by Lobster »

I have been trying to burn mini disk RW CD's from Puppy using
burn2CD (that is the 200 meg ones)

- without success. I was able to do this in Burncdcc.

I am just about to burn the new Puppy Tardis Beta (1.0.7) on a standard ISO this will confirm my burner is working. (I can confirm my burner is working)

Has anyone else tried these mini-discs - do they work OK with Puppy? Once burnt they seem OK - I have burnt the MS-version of Sizzler (1.0.6). . .

OK - I think it is working . . . it was all the accumalations. Now in a fresh pup I seem to be OK . . . be interested if others have used these and how they got on . . .

Yes, I've used an 8cm CD-RW exclusively for every version of Puppy I've tried. I've burned Puppy to it with Record Now in Windows and with burniso2cd in Puppy. The CD-RW must be manually erased with another program or burniso2cd will falsely indicate that it successfully burned the CD when it didn't burn anything.

OK I tried to erase the multisession data (with graveman) but can not?

I also tried to save my data on the multi-session but it tells me the DVD (?) is full

How can I save to CD? - should I try on another computer? (I am using multisession 106 - sizzler)

Is the CD burning improved in 107beta?

Until Burniso2cd is upgraded to include the ability to erase CD-RWs, please add warnings to the script. There should be a warning at the very start of the script, that if you are re-using a RW you should abort and use Graveman to erase the CD first...
