I thought a video would be better than a screen shot to show off some of the customized backgrounds and themes for macpup foxy e17.

of course I can't compete with the video but just thought I'd show a couple caps of the wonderful new Puplet P.A.W. (Puppy Artist's Workshop)
first with JWM then with Xfce4.6

Aww, geee....

Well its no where as pretty as MacPupFoxy-E17, but it can make pretty things!!

Seriously though Runtt21, I`m so glad to see E-17 done right...
Not only is Foxy-E17 the most beautiful E-17 desktop, but the fastest..
I know, I`ve tried them all...(E-live, GOS, ect..)...
It is #1 on my "Show off" disc..
Sure puts "Serenity" to shame... :( ..LOL....
The low system Req. make it a great O.S for older hardware, even those stuck in Xvesa... :D
Truely the most "Bling for the Byte"..

I`ve ran it on a 266mhz P2 w/92mb ram in Xvesa..
Eat that "Compiz"....LOL...

I really hope those with older hardware will give MacpupFoxy-E17 a try, they wont regret it...I mean, seriously, check out the video... :D :D

Jay...

Here is my pup based on 4.2 . The wallpaper is an edited iBook wallpaper. Notice the "Show desktop" icon which is a snapshot of the actual desktop.

Still looking for better wbar icons though; something with yellow/orange theme.

Hi!
As a newbie on Linux I really appreciated Puppy and so I tried to customise it as well as I could (i.e switching to IceWM, changing icons sizes, played with the themes...). Here is what I did tonight.[/img]

Time to play, now that 4.2.1 is almost finished. I thought I'd upload a taste of the new release for your enjoyment:

Puppy-4.2.1
JWM
Feel-of-Japan icon theme
Sunset SVG background by BluePal
Pwidgets Stardust theme

The themes are made up of various elements. But the main point is the icons.

The GTK theme is the Mama-Rose, with it applied to JWM.

Pwidgets 'Rouge' theme, one I wrote, with Rojo clock.

Then the desktop icons are a 'Rouge' set.

Vert is GTK Greenery and applied to JWM.

Pwidgets 'Aurora' theme with Verde clock.

Again, desktop icons are 'Vert' set.

Rouge and Vert icons are some I put together myself.

If there's interest I can pet them if you want.
