OpenOffice not working after upgrade

#1 Post by paullecorde »

I upgraded to Puppy 1.0.7 last night and most everything went well. Everything that I had installed under 1.0.6 still worked with 2 exceptions.... 1. Sunbird calendar has disappeared completely. I guess I will reinstall it. 2. OpenOffice 2 does not work. The program files are there and the links are there in /usr/local/bin, but when I click on them OO does not open. If I click on files that were set to open with OO, they open with Gnumeric or AbiWord. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I can do? Will I need to reinstall OO for Puppy 1.0.7 to find it?

Thanks for your help.

Paul

run soffice in a commandline, and post the errors reported.

Thanks for your help, Mark. The result was libGL.so.1 was fragmented. I downloaded the DotPup and reinstalled and OpenOffice appears to be working now.

When upgrading, some folders are "cleaned up" and you loose some installed programs. I lost OpenOffice when I upgraded from Chubby Puppy 1.0.5 to 1.0.6. I began saving copies of the dotpups I'd installed into a seperate folder (like rarsa) to reinstall after updates/upgrades.
