Could you tell me what you have added to the standard edition?

As you know, 4.21 is the major bug fix for the 4.2.(I have seen several posts about that).

I hope this is the one all bugs fixed.

I don't know if the pro version will run smoothly on my P4 machine.
It has only 256MB. Have you tried the pro on low spec machines?

Hacao, I mean the 319MB "Pro" version.

I tried many Puppy versions but what works on 2GB RAM notebook, more often than not, doesn't work o my P4 256MB.

While booting, it says Kernel panic, Out of memory. That is the reason I am hunting for only less than 150MB versions.

To run it smoothly, should I set up the swap space in Puppy?

Obviously 256MB RAM cannot hold entire 319MB unzipped iso. So I am wondering if I should adjust the swap like virtual memory in Windows.

Lastly but not leastly, is there an option to convert menus to English?

I don't have so much traffic at moment, but if I reach the limits as in the past, I must deactivate the downloads temporarily.

The screenshots look great, well done :D

As I suspected, My 256MB computer cannot boot the pro version.
I wish larger size Puppies had a way of boot up first and then load other stuff like pilot boats leading big ships.

By the way, the white notebook looks like ASUS 1000 series(H, HE).

This is wonderful news.

I thought you had gone on to another distro but it is good to see Hacao back doing Puppy Linux a great favour with your professional approach.

Very well done and fabulous looking desktop.

Hi !

Try on this solutions:

1. Install Puppy version older (2.16, 4,x) & pup_save.sfs.

2. Upgrade to Hacao Linux 4.21 Pro.

It's work well on Celeron 900MHz, 256M Ram, no SWAP

Thanks,

Hi, I am new to Puppy and am very impressed. Having no experience with Puppy and being pretty new to Linux in general. I have been looking for a Puplet that someone had done all the hard work with already due to my lack of knowledge on how Puppy works, something I am working on rectifying. I found it in Hacao, it has everything I normally use and works beautifully on my old Dell d810. My one and only question is am I able to change the default language for the start menu and such to English? Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

Jason

Is that true Raffy?

I tried Hacao Pro from DVD booting

. . . press f2 FAST - I think the default 5 second delay has been modified to 2 seconds . . .

then type 'hacao pfix=ram' - rather than the usual 'puppy pfix=ram'
you will eventually be presented with a combined Vietnamese/English menu
Which is great for the multilingual but rather bewildering for those unable to speak Vietnamese (you mean there are some?)

If there is a way to change to English only I could not find it . . .
However hacao seems to be totally 4.2.1 compatible
and so maybe a combination with my 4.2.1 save file is possible?

Great to see Hacao and Raffy pic :)
Last pics of Hacao with were with IBM or was it Intel and
the classmate?

Any plans for other meetings?

The last pictures of Hacao were in Distrowatch.

Visits to fellow Puppians are unplanned but are really great. Maybe my next visit is Australia or Europe - who knows. :)

I explained to Hacao that many people want an English version of his puplet, and he welcomed the idea. Perhaps it's just a matter of time.

Hi
hacao pfix=ram at boot did not solve the English language problem
also change language from local with no change at all , it is stuck to VIETNAM.
