Puppy 2.0: rename usr_cram to usr.sfs or some such

#1 Post by kethd »

Is there a list somewhere of suggestions for 1.1 or 1.5 or 2.0 -- whenever there is a "major change" -- things that are sort of not important, but sort of would be nice to do "someday"?

Such as, rename usr_cram.fs to usr.sfs or usr_sqsh.sfs or somesuch... For any new person trying to learn Puppy internals, it is confusing that cram is no longer actually being used, and has been replaced by sqashfs, but the file still has the old name. (Do I have this right?) I can understand that it will be inconvenient for us all to have the name of something so core change, but maybe we should bite the bullet sometime.

Guess I'll have to learn how to remake usr_cram.fs sometime -- did not realize squashfs was read-only.

Yes, puppy2 uses ".sfs" extension for all Squashfs files.
