[OPEN]Gxine will not switch to Fullscreen in JWM Subject description: Pressing "f" key (for fullscreen" causes gxine to "flicker" |
|
Edit: Bug still present in 4.2.1
The classic Gxine fullscreen bug is in this release too. This is where it is required to maximise gxine before going into fullscreen mode (either using the menus or by pressing "F").
I understand there is a fix for it. Patriots updated jwm 2.0.1 package fixes it, and makes everything look a lot prettier. Im not sure just how "tested" this is though.

Updating JWM seemed to work for me as far as getting full screen to work in Gxine.
But...
Gxine still failed to go to full screen when called from PupTV.
That could be a parameter setting in the PupTV scripts for each channel though.

Thanks for testing...this is an important bug to sort out for a lot of "newbies", as it means puppy cannot be used to play films very well.
Im not familiar with puptv

I really thought Joe's Window Manager was copyrighted
material and distributed under the GNU.
If so, how does a legitimate person take someone's GNU
licensed code, modify it, then redistribute it as a binary
object only?
Where is the source code and license for this published
fork?

Bruce, the source for JWM can also be downloaded from his sourceforge project page, which is linked from the link you post above
