Hey

I am not at home and tried to log into the board with the AOL browser at a friends house, and for some reason I was logged out right away ...

I don't know if it is phpBB or the browser, but I know this seems to have been happening to others (Barry?) ... What browser where you using ?

Either way ticking the :

"Log me on automatically each visit:"

Seemed to solve the problem on AOL ...

I haven't had any problems with Opera, Mozilla, IE, or Firefox.

How weird ...

Cheers
JohnM

I think it's the particular AOL settings. AOL errs in the side of caution. It may not be creating the session cookie (I assume it's a cookie) after you log in and for some reason it creates it when you select the automatic login.

PostPosted: Wed 15 Jun 2005, 00:45    Post_subject: Lynx is impacted too

Since my post in the Misc section hasn't received any replies, this looks like the best spot to post:

I cannot make any new posts or topics if I browse this site using the Lynx browser. I always get the following error:

No post mode specified

Oddly enough, Links doesn't suffer this same problem. I used to be able to post with Lynx all the time until recently. Disabling/enabling cookies doesn't change anything. Any ideas?
