1 click or 2

#1 Post by Lobster »

Sorry I lost where we discussed this and I advocated 1 click

Seems Microsoft are going for it too . . . or maybe this is just for the menus . . .

Folders toggle open and closed with a single click. When I first heard about this, it sounded like a horrible idea. But after actually using it, I can say that it is actually a significant improvement over the dreaded 3-column-wide All Programs list from XP.

(I didn't read the article.)

I seem to recall that you could change which you wanted (1 or 2 clicks) somewhere. If possible, maybe it could be a user setting in Puppy...

In Windows XP you can choose to have things open with one click or two, just like Rox. I have all my computers set up for one click except for the Macs which don't have that option. I like Macs spring loaded folders and I like Windows one click actions. With Rox I get both :D

Grab something such as a file or application and drag it over a directory in rox. The directory that you are hovering over will then open and let drop the file into it. It's a nice and easy way of navigating down into a directory with the file "in hand" that you want to move or copy. You do have to set it as a preference though in Rox.
