Do we Have an Indian Puplet

#1 Post by cthisbear »

Has someone released an Indian version Puplet.

I could give it to a local computer shop with many
Indian clients.
This gent sells heaps of preloved computers.
And gives a 3 month warranty.

As far as I know there are none.
So if there is a recent one can you post the link.
I've had a quick look.

///////////////

Today I gave him ISOs of

Hansamben Edupup
Macpup Opera
Teenpup 2008 and Legacy 2009
Ecopup 2008 version
Japanese 4.20
Puppy 4.21 and 4.1.1
Deltapup
fatfree 2.16???
Hacao 4.21....both versions
Muppy Standard
Pupeee
AcerOne
Puppy 2.14x3
Puppy 2.15CE
Mipup 2

You're getting the picture.

Plus Burn CDCC
and other win apps.

Even burnt a cd for him with Burn CDCC in Windows
so that he knows how to easily burn a Puppy cd.

He's even been giving Ubuntu a go, which goes to show
how much MS are P.......g these blokes off when of their
own volition they are trying Linux.

I have given him Puppies before, even got his
USB to boot Puppy last year.

But he really liked Sidders?? Hansamben.
That''s what we burnt today for his kid.

Thanks............Chris.

An Indian version puplet would be a great idea.

There is a fellow up the road from me who is right into Linux, I deal with him regularly, I think he is Indian, possibly Sri Lankan. I'll hand him a few puplets next week and see what he reckons. He knows I'm into puppy but he thinks it is not a serious OS. Better give him a push then :)

Cheers

In Sri Lanka two Indian languages (Tamil and Singalese) are used
as well as English, Portugese and no doubt many understand Hindi,
Punjabi and so on . . .

Ubuntu to its credit supports many languages from
Mongolian to Welsh
. . .. and with Upup coming to a computer near you (Ubuntu packages using a Woof built Puppy) those interested in versions such as Toutou (French Puppy) will be enabled and empowered . . .

Rogan josh (lamb curry) came originally from Persia (now Iran)

It is amazing how these foods come about for example
the British fish and chips (had it a few days back - luvvly) :)
is originally an East End Jewish dish that came from Eastern Europe.
The most popular food in Britain is now curry - it is our national dish.

Open Source Food
recipes from around the world

NowI wonder who can see and translate this - they might create 'Rojan Josh' Alpha?

In Hindi we can say

Mera Pyaara Puppy.

and its heartening to see you guys trying to help find an an indian pup. I have tried to remaster puppy with my own choice of softwares but the uploading in my internet connection is pathetic. So I cannot upload it. But dear cthisbear you too can make a puppy of your own choice. I am sure by now you know where to find the .sfs or pets and how to use remaster puppy live cd. You can use customised Indian wallpapers ( since I dont know about using Hindi in puppy). But this will be great.

The closest to a translated puppy is Hacao, as it has two language files already, Vietnamese and English. Probably just localize it to a major Indian language, although English will be fine.
