who's the creator of puppy 4.30 wallpaper?

#1 Post by Marek »

I'm referring to this one:

I'm looking for a 1280x800 version, preferably a .png right from the original. Does anyone know the creator? Cheers, Marek

Nah, ttuuxxx. Jeba had that one that didn't have the reflection, that you added, remember? (Aahhh, that's the one your link points to 8) ). Very similar though.

Barry found that one somewhere on the web... you can check his blog, he did say where. I added the logo and text with Gimp.

Cheers

Here's one, but it is not "right from the original", it is more of a quick hack.

I don't recall where I got it from. I downloaded it quite a long time ago I think.

on account of i'm really slack ....
any chance of getting you to create one where the text/logo is set down near the bottom of the screen - about the same vertical location as the bottom row of mount points.

I post the occasional screen shot to forums and try to include the logo (my own form of sublim advertising), in the hope that someone will go 'oohh, what's that?', and google the puppy. Having the logo nearer the bottom will make the window calisthenics a li'l bit easier.

cheers

Possibly.. :) There was a method in the madness of having it at that height... t'was for BarryK's new wallpaper cropper for widescreens (of which I have 1). It cuts some off the top and bottom for the right aspect ratio of a widey,

Cheers... back soon

... a little later...

Close enough? (see attached)

cheers 01mick0

vertically perfect. heaps better for my purpose than where it was, umm but i was thinking the same horizontal position as the original (i have a few mount points - I've long protected myself from windoze fallovers by partitioning disks based on usage, and that plus the linux parts and the cd/dvd & thumb drvs mean i have a whole row of li'l disk icons :-)

I tried to just select the area around the text and drag it down in gimp myself, but it was a bit too obvious and my gimp skills are super basic (i thought 'alpha channel' was john logie baird's first transmission).

Could i impose again and ask very nicely if you could bump it over to the right a chunk ... sorta like a right-aligned footer, if that makes sense?

thanks heaps

Maybe later...

Busy compiling atm and I need to give that priority. Keep your eye open, maybe in the next 24hrs.

crikey, of course that's got priority.

i'm just playing - serious stuff is way more important.

i might even get some incentive to have a squiz at the grokking book :)
