Sub_title: Input out of range

I am working on getting my monitor to work properly. I am able to see the BIOS screen, and then the 'input out of range' msg appears, and then once x starts, I am fine. I am not able to see GRUB at all. I have tried almost all of the vga boot options. Any suggestions?
