How to use ATI Mobility Radeon 7500?
ok, that driver is included with xorg, so more than likely the reason your card isn't working is an xorg.conf tweak. follow these steps and it should work correctly
run the xorgwizard.
select the resolution you want and hit test
when it pulls up without going to xtest screen, click tweak.
it will ask about generic driver. click yes
click tweak xorg.conf, then click ok
scroll to your Section "ServerLayout"
make sure that if there is a screen1, is has a comment before it, like this:
#screen1
scroll to your Section "Monitor"
if your using a CRT monitor change settings to:
HorizSync 45-55
VertRefresh 55-65
if your using a LCD panel, use:
HorizSync 40-70
VertRefresh 50.0-72.0
now scroll to your Section "Device". there will be 2, one for onboard, one for your ATI card. make sure it is for the ATI card.
find the #Option DRI in that section. take out the first #, making it read: Option DRI.
Then click ctrl-s to save and ctrl-q to quit
select test x now, and when it pops up with the xtest box, hit ctrl-alt-bkspc.
select done and that's it
