CUPS: Common Unix Printing System
how to update CUPS and the ppd files for printers ????
I Uninstall cups1.1.23 that comes with defuault puppy, then I go to package manager and install cups1.3.3 but ... when I access http://127.0.0.1:631 and try to add printer , the drivers are just a few. I have less drivers than the version 1.1.23.
how can I have the latest CUPS and have as much drivers as I can ????

When I use localhost:631 I also see only a few drivers however if I go to the printer wizard menu>cups>printer wizard and select add printer I get a message "Wait. Composing Gutenprint ppd files" .
Now when I try to add printers I get the big list. Seems you need to enter from menu and not localhost for some reason.
