How to use rtl3070 USB wireless card in Puppy 4.3?

#1 Post by chandresh »

I just installed version 4.3 - using the automatic installation. I am now trying to make the new rtl 3070 usb wireless card. Puppyscan shows:

Manufacturer=Ralink
Product=802.11 n WLAN
VendorID=148f ProductID=3070 KERNEL-MODULE=(none).

I tried the driver that came with the CD, which is really for 2870.

I also selected the 2870 driver that came with 4.3, does not work.

Has anyone had success with this?

Hmmm .....

I just got myself one of these .... now running fine on p412 k26217 ... The p412 network wizard don't play nice here ...

Made some driver binaries, learned to config 'em manually, set wpa2 stuffs .... and Voila! its sooo much simpler ... (I can confirm rt3070-usb works fine with wpa2 ...)

Now ... off I go experimenting some more with this ra0 thingy ... :)
