Ramdisk problem when booting from USB Flash Drive

#1 Post by Guest »

I have my motherboard booting from the flash drive, and puppy begins to boot just fine, but for some reason, it frees the ramdisk memory and doesn't elect to use it. The ramdisk is initialized, then the ramdisk is immediately turned off, the memory freed, and then I get about a million:

cp-FULL: cannot do this or that

When I boot back into windows, there are a ton of new directories on the flash drive (but it isn't nearly full).

What gives here? Anyone know?

Ps. the machine has 1GB of ram and the flash drive is 256MB..

I used to get this on a number of Low RAM computers, but yours is not particularly low RAM.
Check your drive to see if you have any data that has many layers of directories. This seems to have been the problem for me.
