Same quicks in audacity

Audacity has been too hard to live with in Ubuntu so I tried your build in Puppy. I thought pulseaudio might have been the problem. Looks like it works about the same in Puppy; Audacity freezes on exporting to mp3, but not every time.

Puppy is great though!

I think pulsaudio is still used internally.
I gave up and am now using 0.2.4 which has the vu meters but uses oss...nice and reliable. Built from the debian packages
