Samsung CLP-350N

#1 Post by bobiwong »

Hi,

Really new to these - Posting & Linux, but somehow got my 350N working. Just a quick fix, might not be a good long term solution.

Could not find the Samsung CLP-350N driver from the CUPS Printer Wizard. They only have the ML series. Tried a few of those, strange thing is the Test page came out fine but PDF file would not print. Tried the RAW driver too, test page OK but still cannot print.

Finally what worked for me was the "Ghostscript" driver, ie: instead of selecting "Samsung" at the Model/Driver page, I scroll down to find "Ghostscript".

Hope this work for you.

Background:
This is for Puppy Linux 4.3.1 live-cd mode, Samsung CLP-350N connected to LAN switch. Puppy software printing from: PDF Viewer 0.1.7

Well, i was only doing some basic printing, text & screen-shot for emergency OS fix -> er that one that start with W... and end with XtraPainfulPROblems :).

Regards,
