news! (see firs post)
I added a new .pet version compressed with upx saving 12 of space (package is 24 MB, 63 once installed, instead of 75)
I tested also sfs packages with latest jrb sfs linker and are working fine without problems
so, abushcrafter, please to specify what version of puppy are using (type also uname -a in console for kernel)

I guess you are using not regular Puppy series, but a pupplet (what pupplet? (name), I tested on Puppy 4.3.1 and sfs package is fully working, o, in addition to kernle you must add the name of pupplet you are using

Powered Puppy! Its just the normal puppy 431 heavy customized. So that's loads of apps which are configured. I plan to upload it as a pupplet when I have finished.
I will check that I did test your sfs because I am not so shore now that I did .

may be not the original, I have builds several other sfs packages for testing, best thing you can do is re-download zip and check md5sum, even is not a md5sum problem

I am now using your upxed pet as its smaller . I tryed again to make a sfs this time from the upxed pet with the English tutorials and it had the same error of no aspell in file system. So I am going to give up for the moment and just use this pet.

I confirm that SFS version work perfectly in puppy 4.31 With SFS linker. I can mount it on fly and work well.
You did a nice job Dingo, because the 0.36 version in puppy is really poor. But I know that puppy primary goal is the tiny size instead the last complete version of stuff. So your full complete version can be useful for who have enought computer power.

and if you don't have enough computer power you can always just use 2.8MB inkscape 0.45.1 static from the repo, http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/pet_packages-4/inkscape-0.45.1-staticgtkmm.pet, Its not cut-down like inkscapelite, just an older version, still pretty good.

Oh! interesting version, near the latest but so tiny! I will give a try.
PS: I am so inexpert in compiling subject, can you tell me whic different there is, to compiling with static library or not?

Inkscape On Puppy 4.2.1 |
|
The version ttuuxxx suggested (0.45.1 static) works perfectly on versions I have tested (4.0 ,4.1.2, 4.2.1) but the latest 0.47 giving some issues (some deps, I see) on Puppy 4.2.1. Hmmm...
In any case 0.45.1 static is still highly useful once you get to know it better.

Please, you can post deps missing, so I can include in a package for 4.2.xx series I try to test on several puppy versions, but my time is limited. As soon as possible, I will compile statically deps as ttuuxxx suggested in order to try reduce size of package
