3-button mouse: probs on boot.

On startup when i chose the mouse type i select ps2 then y when it assks if it has a middle button. then it gives me a blank screen. if i choose no with middle button it works everything fine.

any ideas on whats going wrong and maybe how i can fix it?

PS. im using puppy as i send this! its soooo awsome!!! more than iv eva seen in a 50 mb OS

You could manually add the 3rd button and see if it works for you.

If you go to into /etc there's a file called mousebuttons. Yours should simply say "2". Change it to "3" and reboot. let us know if this helps at all.

Will that work? I am currently running puppy off CD with home set to my flash drive. I want to be able to boot off my flash drive but it appears my BIOS wont allow it. So just wondering if changing that will work.
(I'm not currently in puppy)
