Some very basic bug fixes.
Absolute minimum changes from 1.0.8.

Everything else, further bug fixes, tweaks, are being held over
until 1.0.9.

high reputation for reliabilty and working facilities

#3 Post by Lobster »

I would urge everyone hosting to offer this as soon as possible.

This rc is the high quality 1.0.8 that was intended, with ALSA and the many subtle improvements in programs. Help is one of the hidden gems of Puppy, you will find much info by browsing there. The auto setup of GAIM is also an important offering and service.

Puppy has and deserves its high reputation for reliabilty and working facilities. Often we look at the forum and find problems. For each problem there are many more success stories.

I know Barry is excited by Puppy2, so I am pleased that this version and even 1.0.9 is being released.

"Working is the new fast"

Many thanks to everyone working on add ons, hosting, forums, wiki pages, promotion, official docs etc. If you have a pet project [ahem . . . ] now is the time to get it ready for Puppy 1.0.9

Puppy 1.0.8 is it the best Puppy ever?
Believe!

I hope I have successfully hosted it here with an "enhanced" checksum file
