Marion, it's technically necessary (and courteous) to reveal the version of Puppy you are using, as well as the exact details of your hardware. What's the brand/model of laptop?

Better still, run this command and post the results -

Code: Select all

lspci -n

Yes, a recent version of the Attansic/Atheros driver is what you need.

There's your problem. Get a recent version of Puppy and it will have the right driver.

Of course those drivers won't work with Puppy 4.0. Puppy 4.0 has the 2.6.21.7 kernel, which is totally incompatible with the 2.6.30.5 kernel in Puppy 4.3.

Problems with the interface

#7 Post by Lady »

I use Puppy 4.3.1

First Puppy detected a network interface.
I configure it (DHCP) and save the configuration.
But I couldn't go in the internet.

The I reboot Puppy and now Puppy don't find the ethernet interface, only wireless.

I try to load the modules atl1 c and atl1e, but without success.
Puppy don't find the ethernet interface.

I'm really unhappy and don't know what to do ?? :(
