Will dotpups run under cygwin?

bonjour

under cygwin and windows, I am using especially Magic Point. an a bit also Links.

so I ask me, if it would be possible to also use puppy.dot packages unter cygwin. what are you thinking about that?

No.
Cygwin-binaries are binaries compiled on windows.
It would be easy to write a small script to do the first steps of a dotpup-installation:

unzip xxx.pup
run the included script dotpup.sh

But that just would extract the ELF-binaries (Linux) to your cywin-folders.
But they will not work, as they are not binary-compatible.

To clarify. It is not something inherent to the dotpups. Linux binaries in general are not compatible with cygwin. every program that you want to run under cygwin must be compiled under cygwin.
