Subject description: no sound from snd-usb-audio

Good day all.
I have 3 audio devices on my PC: MB's audio device, TV FM tuner and Web-camera.
I tried to use web-camera "Microsoft Lifecam NX-6000" in -=Puppy Linux-4.30=- and -=Puppy Linux-4.31=-, but got only video stream.
I tried to edit ISO file and the last version of the script for editing looks so:
Code:

#!/bin/bash
#cat /proc/asound/cards
#dmesg
#Files in -=home=->
#1)pup-430.iso 2)75dpi (FOLDER w/ *pcf.gz)
#3)100dpi (FOLDER w/ *pcf.gz) 4)cyrillic (FOLDER w/ *pcf.gz)
#5)misc (FOLDER w/ *pcf.gz)
#Audio devices:
#1)MB's NVidia nForce2 with ALC655 -->> snd-intel8x0
#2)Microsoft LifeCam NX-6000 -->> snd-usb-audio
#3)Behold TV 609 FM -->> saa7134-alsa

-=hardinfo=- shows only 2 audio adapters: "NVidia nForce2"(MB's audio device) and "SAA7134"(TV FM tuner). After editing of ISO file -=ALSACONF=- and -=ALSAMIXER=- see all three audio devices. -=Guvcview=- does not see web-camera's audio device. In -=Linux Ubuntu-10.04=- "Microsoft Lifecam NX-6000" works ok.

But it gave a life only to "SAA7134" in system.

Hi there, good luck with this...it looks complicated!

Its useful to know that even the Video Stream works with this cam. Im looking to buy 10 for use with a cybercafe....I would rather the profits not go to Micro$oft though!

The solution may just be a cheap mic...you can pick them up here in the U.K. from the £1 shop.

Idea
The newest version of pmusic 1.4.1 is supposed to work well
with multiple sound cards. I don't know if that will help your situation.

Edit: 2011, nov 19.

Permissions for -=Install_Guvcview--sr0--fc11.sh=- were changed as shown:
Code:

cd /place_where_Install_Guvcview--sr0--fc11.sh_is_located ; chmod u+x Install_Guvcview--sr0--fc11.sh

By the way, in -=Linux Quirky=- or -=Lupu=- or -=Puppy=- good light is the reason of 30fps, and poor light is the reason of 15fps.

Almost off-topic:
The best programs for use of -=Microsoft Lifecam NX-6000=- in -=Microsoft Windows Vista SP1=- are:
1)STOIK Capturer>>> program gives 27fps what means that the light is not a reason of poor or good frame conveyer.
2)To make photos:
-=e2eSoft MyCam=- and -=My Screen Cam=-
3)ArcSoft Magic-i(not freeware) >>> gives a hope that web-camera is not broken.
4)ACE Mega CodecS Pack 6.03 - Professional Edition >>> Gives a various versions of MJPEG codec. Some programs for web-camera allow to choose what codec will be used.
5)VideoCaptureMaster(not freeware) >>> maybe one day it will work without crashing, maybe good version is already exists among those who have paid.
