#1 Post by AF Branden »

Hi guys, I found a really cool cell-shaded 3d rpg from the maker of Egoboo and I decided to make it a .pet.

I'd like to check this out, but I've been trying to download it since last night. The download keeps stopping on me.

Thanks AF Branden!

I mirrored it here soulfu.pet 6.7 MB
Try to download from there Phelyne, if it fails, download with wget -c so you can resume download if it breaks.

Code: Select all

wget -t0 -c http://puppy.b0x.me/software/packages/games/soulfu.pet
puppy.b0x.me stuff mirrored HERE or HERE

Awesome! You gonna be my savior on here? lol! Thank you. Now to try it out. :)

Edit: Well crud. Looks like I don't have the items it's dependent on. I tried to search for the first one, but didn't turn up anything. Guess I'll google it.

I added a link for the first dependency(mirror courtesy of dejan555), and i'm not entirely sure you need the second one.

and no problem Dejan, thanks for providing the mirrors, it appears some people are having problems with the free filehost i've been using.

Make sure you guys read the license to get the code to unlock the full game & all character classes.

Also, when I first played it, it took me awhile to figure out how to save the game, and I found out you have to go back to the place where you started at to save.

Great! Thanks, A F Branden. :) I'm loving this forum. Everyone's been so helpful, and quick. :)

I'm having a memory problem, with my Linux machine, or something, I can't do much of anything in my browser, without my cpu being maxed out and shutting it down. So, I can't really use it much right now. My point being, I may not be around much, if any, until we can get it fixed.

Hey guys, I am brand new to puppy. I just installed soul fu and the dependencies mentioned in the thread. But when I go to the fun menu, and click on the game (I see an asterix next to the title), nothing happens...

any tips?

I'm running puppy 4.3.1 from a usb stick.

Have you set up 3d acceleration(open GL) in your puppy? I'm pretty sure it requires it. Just install xorg_xorg_dri-7.3.1 from the puppy package manager. If you have an nvidia card like me, you also need the nvidia driver specific to your card. I remember it was a bit tricky to get it working when I was a newbie.

I'm not sure why there would be an asterisk, there should be a little treasure chest icon.
