deadbeef-0.3.3

#1 Post by pri »

just to make an other choice for audio player.

removed link download, and use ttuuxxx cutdown after this post to download :D
DeaDBeeF is an audio player for GNU/Linux systems with X11 written in C and C++. Features: minimal depends; native GTK2 GUI; cuesheet support; mp3, ogg, flac, ape; chiptune formats with subtunes, song-length databases, etc; small memory footprint.

tested on puppy 4.3.1

once again ttuuxxx, you pulled out so much stuff that it doesn't work:

Code: Select all

starting deadbeef 0.3.3
INFO: failed to connect to existing session:: No such file or directory
failed to load config file
plug: mutex_create
loading plugins from /usr/local/lib/deadbeef
found vfs plugin stdio vfs
found decoder plugin SID decoder
found decoder plugin DUMB module player
found decoder plugin Game_Music_Emu decoder
failed to find output plugin!

Any CPU-usage comparison b/w deadbeef and BMP? Of all the audio players I've tried, BMP used the fewest resources, but deadbeef may change that. Anybody know for certain?

Thanks,
Jake

#9 Post by flexxx »

hi pri,

Can you post back initial deadbeef0.3.3.pet download link,
i've installed the ttuuxxx cutdown version on 3 pristine live puppy cd
(431; 432 and lupu-005 ) and on none of them the application start even after a restartx.

or ttuuxxx if you can fix the pet for us

ok I compiled on 431/432 so it should work, I didn't try it last time because I was just removing the dev files and running 2.14X which it didn't start because of a older glibc in 2.14X anyways booted 432 and compiled it.
