#1 Post by yak50 »

Great forum you all have here, have done some reading, you have peak my interest, I bought a lenovo think pad , back 2008, I order with susie Linux, the business os, I have intel core tm2, 2.20 ghz, and 2048 MB ram, and do not really need all the business functions that are loaded, was thinking of deleting the susie, and installing the puppy, would that make sense? not sure what kinda of graphic card I have or other stuff, I am not to puter smart, and like simple, I am x-window user, and would be new to the command like etc.... and I bent my cd drive by accident but have a couple of usb ports, any thoughts from you guys ? thanks yak!

Leave SUSE on for now ...
Test Puppy and make sure that you are happy.

Chris thank you for taking the time to post, will give it a shot, I may have to get my cd drive repaired first, or buy a stick and try that !

@Yak50

USB sticks are pennies. If the lappy will boot from a USB stick then you're laughing. Try any of the puplets as well.

Hi yak50,

Following up on lemmy999's suggestion, you can download unetbootin for suse form here http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/. Then just download the iso of your choice of puppy/puplet and use unetbootin to install to a USB.
