I'm still in school: last year of high school (or secondary school, isn't that what they call it in England?). Next year, I'm going to university to study civil engineering.

I am a Senior systems designer (Software Developer). Doing that day in and day out for 22 years (since I was 15).

I spend the time between 5 and 10, Cooking and enjoying time with my two teenager sons. Going to the skate park (in-line) and walking that puppy you see on the avatar.

From about 10:00 pm to 1:00 am (some times later) it's usually playing around with computers. For the last 8 months it has been around understanding linux.

We seem a fairly varied bunch. Me, I am a temporary worker. I am registered with an agency which then sends me out to temporary assignments with other companies. Currently, I am assigned to the accounts payable section of a large supermarket chain.

Before that, I spent ten years working in television and radio news, then went back to school with dreams of a Ph.D. (I still have the dreams but not the degree Smile) Two years ago, my wife and I gave up our dream of financial stability (and two decent paying jobs) to move to scenic Idaho for a change of lifestyle and to aid in the physical (and, indirectly, the cognitive) development of our nine-year old autistic son.

I'm happy to say I have not run Windows on my home machine since 2002.

Full-time self-employed taxi driver, part-time musician, semiretired journalist, dumpster-diver extraordinnaire. Whatever puts beans on the table and keeps me in computer carcasses to rehabilitate.

On most online forms, when asked for "occupation," I put down "consultant," which means of course ... absolutely nothing.

I'm the Serbian-surnamed Scots-English Greek Orthodox priest in Spokane, Washington, with two teenage daughters for sanity maintenance - and a complete ignoramus concerning Linux.
(When 'two teenage daughters' constitute your sanity maintenance, it kinda sums up everything else...)

I used to be a bus driver for public transit until my company decided that they wanted to end the five year "political fight" and fire me with b.s. stuff (bad driver / bad attitude, yet I had 7 years accident free and a petition put together with 25 signatures by the passengers of one of my routes. Sort THAT out).

Now, I'm lookin.

Well, during my working time, I am a Technical Support Agent and provide support for networks (routers, switches and such, and PC's etc. I administer remotely UNIX servers, and Windows servers, as well as peer-to-peer work groups. The main thing I support is a Pharmacy application, both for the actual pharmacy as well as the front store, such as POS, debit/credit etc... all residing on either UNIX or Windows platforms.

Look after pharmacies across Canada and in Jamaica.
