[PET] Arora 0.10.1-1 Subject description: A QTWebKit based Web Browser. |
|
I have edited the .desktop file for puppy and added a link to "libQtWebKit.so.4.5.3" (My current installed version from a QT4 pet off the forums.).
This PET was made from the binary provided by Q5sys from this thread:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=33277&start=15
[EDIT]
You need the library QT. I have taken qt-4.5.3-p4.pet (MD5SUM: 96c2412264e36fbcbcbb2e5daafdccbf) and added some links in "/usr/lib/" so it works with this Arora pet. Download it here:

Applications Website: http://code.google.com/p/arora/
Description:
Quote: | Arora is a lightweight cross-platform web browser. It's free (as in free speech and free beer). Arora runs on Linux, embedded Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, Windows, Haiku, and any other platforms supported by the Qt toolkit.
Arora uses the QtWebKit port of the fully standards-compliant WebKit layout engine. It features fast rendering, powerful JavaScript engine and supports Netscape plugins.
Apart from the must-have features such as bookmarks, history and tabbed browsing Arora boasts:
* very fast startup
* integration with desktop environments
* smart location bar
* session management
* privacy mode
* flexible search engine management
* ClickToFlash plugin
* download manager
* WebInspector, a set of tools for web developers
* 30 translations
Arora began as a demo by Benjamin Meyer to help test the QtWebKit component, but since then it has grown into its own project outside of Qt.
Arora has a small, simple code base that is fun to hack on. Join the party in #arora on irc.freenode.org! |

Shows a missing dependency in Quirky 1.0, of Gt4. Won't load from menu. Nice to have a Desktop or panel icon? Don't know if Barry will include next version of Quirky? New version soon of Midori, my favorite. Thanks Inv. Man
