Where is file that the CD makes on the hard drive?
I listed the wrong type mouse when I first tried Puppy.
Now I can´t use my mouse unless I say no hard drive
loading (2). I can not find the file to get rid of it or change
it. Your help ASAP wound be very welcome. I can not
go much farther with Puppy 103 without some help.
thank you

I would start Puppy, after X loads, hit alt+crlt+backspace to kill X

Then delete these two files

/etc/mousedevice
/etc/mousebuttons

the commands to do this are:

rm /etc/mousedevice
rm /etc/mousebuttons

Then reboot the computer - I think you will be asked to enter your mouse information.

Disclaimer: I've never actually had to do this myself.

As for the location....

It will be in the root of the drive....ie not under any directories

If you are using win9x\msdos it will be in the same place autoexec.bat & config.sys are.

If usinf Win2k\WinXP it will be in the place boot.ini and ntdetect are
