Potential to rescue an LVM partition (say LVM2)

#1 Post by ChrisK »

Hi
I use Fedora Core x.
The script to mount partitions such as hda1 or hda2 seems deficient when faced with the newer creations using the Logical Volume Management, (LVM). We need to access the mapper since accessing hda1 on a Fedora system just reveals the grub directory and a few config files. No other partition is viewable.
We might look to including that capability and add some LVM1 and 2 tools too!
If I can help please let me know.
All the best
Chris

The same is for md. All my filesystems are on md+crypto+lvm.
