Xawtv: no device

Subject description: Control window. Click "Devices" = no device		  
My pci card:
Hauppgauge winTv bt848
My hard disk:
Partition 2: xawtv works very well
Partition 4: xawtv seems OK but stopped to see the
device (pci card) since i tried to plug a Trust 15082-4 webcam
in the usb socket.
Webcam did appear just a moment as a second device
beside pci-tv card. Afterwards, no devices at all.
Where is the bug?

Subject description: Upgrage form CD		  
The "BT878 video (Hauppauge bt878)" device raised from the dead upgrading Puppy 4.30 from CD.
> puppy pfix=ram
> universal installer
> upgrade
Two minutes to solve.
(My Puppy is installed on Hard-Disk.)
