For the past 8 months I have been playing around with a lot of different Linux Distros looking for one that I could make my own. Then I downloaded Puppy 1.0.2 and found the one that I have been searching for.
This is an amazing OS despite it's small size and it is very easy to work with, even for a newbie. Not liking the default window manager, I was very happy to find alternatives. I installed Fluxbox and my own wallpaper, now that's cool.
The box that Puppy is installed on does not have internet access; so I downloaded the puppy 1.0.2-core and the unleashed files to a 256 mg thumb-drive,with another computer, and installed them locally in Puppy; internet problem solved. Over the next few months I will be trying different things from Puppy Unleashed to come with what works best for me. After I learn more I am going to re-master my own Puppy.
Thanks to everyone at Puppy Linux for a job very well done and for a distro that is customizable to fit anyones needs.
