[Solved] Agere 11c11040 not detected

#1 Post by dialeddown »

Hello.

Puppy 4.3.1 pupdial says no modem detected. Trying every probe and button maybe more than once gets one help section to say one or two modems detected (I only have the winmodem) and mentions cdc_acm I think. However, the main pupdial window still says no modem detected. At some point, I think lsmod showed agrmodem and agrserial but no change to pupdial.

I read on another website that the current puppy ran agere and I would like to run this modem.

Thank you.

Wary 510 worked and other versions might work.

The auto-detection worked as far as it could but remember that some conf settings depend on your location for dialing rules (phone numbers to get a carrier) and your ISP login for whether to use stupid mode or not.
