Puppy GUI utility, automatic HD mounting at boot.

#1 Post by sunburnt »

A post by a user made the need for this utility apparent.
It's probably not all it should be, but it's working for me, post here any feedback.
A nicer utility would be the MUT utility with: [mount at boot] buttons next to MUT's [mount] buttons.

Another NEW Version... Small improvements & changed info display.

That looks very practical. Is there any possibility to make it more verbose, for when you boot the Puppy CD in a strange computer? E.g., something like "/dev/hda130 GB, NTFS" or "/dev/hdc: 4.4 GB, DVD-R".

Flash; I'll see what I can do, Xdialog is pretty limited but I should be able to add more info.

NEW Version, see above post.

Checkout the gtkdialog2 program for more GUI flexibility.

BarryK; I looked at it & it seemed that it wasn't any improvement over Xdialog for this app.
It looked like I was still going to have to generate a second file for the actual dialog code.
Also I didn't see a CheckListBox in gtkdialog, but I could have made a frame with separate CheckBoxes in it.

I'm still not very clear about how to make gtkdialog work fully, so I may be missing something here.
