Booting from live USB won't install correctly.

#1 Post by _person_ »

I put Puppy on a flash drive (lupu-511), and put it in one of my computers, I want to install it on the flash drive. It booted from RAM, and I used the universal installer and GParted to set it up. Now, however, I can't get it to install to the usb drive correctly, all I can get are the files that Puppy needs to boot up, and a save file if I choose. But I want all of the files to be stored on the drive. Any suggestions?

Sorry if I'm being unclear, it's a bit late at night.

I think that you are talking about the difference between a full and frugal install. Read here..

The Puppy Universal Installer only does frugal installs on flash media. But you still get complete functionality.

That's unfortunate, but thanks for the info.
