I am very new to Linux. My interest was aroused by a live Knoppix CD on a magazine cover.
This ran so slowly it was almost unusable. Then I found Puppy 1.05 on the same CD and tried that. The difference was amazing. It is so quick. Since then I have tried Ubuntu – which seems OK so far - and have dual booted that with Windows XP.
I have recently downloaded Puppy 1.08 live CD. I read about Megapuppy 002 and managed to install it using J_Rey's excellent instructions.
I think MU has done a brilliant job of creating Megapuppy.
I am so impressed I could happily use Puppy instead of Windows or any other Linux distro. I have lots of questions though, and things to fix before I can ditch Windows. I hope someone out there will be patient with me while I try to understand how everything works.

Welcome to the kennels
I too started my education (Slack was my first) with Knoppix and it is impressive - an OS that runs from CD
But Puppy is an OS you can really, actually use from CD and many of our Puppy people do.
Last year at this time I was still mostly using XP
