I uninstalled it on Puppy 5.1 and my icons are all gone and some menu entries are gone
I checked usr/share and there are two folders applications and applications-no menu
Is there any way to restore to default?

Feature request? - multiple wallpapers |
|
Zigbert,
I love this app! I note however that dude replaces Jwm settings. I had followed hairywill's instructions posted elsewhere for having a different wallpaper for each desktop. Is this possible with dude, or might it be included in the future? Just hoping
Grace & peace,
Chris

Please try it, and take a look.

Ziggy,
tried this uninstall method on my 5.1 full install and nothing changed with dude041, on checking menu files with text found they had the same exec instructions.
also found that the apps installed after "duding" had dissapeared.
something went wrong somewhere
will be reinstalling from scratch.
regards
scsijon
ps, any idea when the next version is due out?

Do you have /usr/share/applications-original. All original desktop files should be here. Also those which are installed while using DuDE.

nope, it didn't seem to have been created, or was lost when I uninstalled, even checked if it was hidden, no sign of it.
have rebuilt anyway as the system was a "little" bit of a mess.
system partition had been origonally a 3.01 then went though a path of >4.1, >4.3.1, >5.1; it is now a straight 5.1.

Hi zigbert,
I posted a problem here on the LupQ-511 thread that you need to be aware of.
I've also discovered on 1 Oct that Puppy Squeeze has the same problem with left click focus.
Cheers,
Jim

I'm not sure if DuDe isn't supported in 5.2, but right now it doesn't seem to be working right. No matter what theme I choose I have a bright red boarder around all my windows and it's a red window on the bar.
However, if I can get it working right, I think it's great! Very nicely done.
So, I'm not sure what I did. I think it was installing a .deb file and everything refreshed and the red is gone. Now it's fantastic. This is very very nice now. Thanks.
