is there someone who can help me setting up my wireless netw

i have succesfully installed my wireless network card (with wifi beta)
but now i want to connect to the internet, puppy says:
wireless card ative
wirelss card respondeing
no ip .........
dhcp not running........
.........
......
is there anyone who can help me,?? :?: :?:

When you say "puppy says..." I assume you mean "The WAG utility says...". Based on that:

Please post the following so we know what's going on.

a) Full message you get in wag
b) Your wireless card Brand, model and version.
c) Your wireless access point configuration (Is it open? does it use WEP? WPA?, do you want to connect to hotspots where you don't have control?)

My guess here is that you have not loaded your card's driver.

Or if you have loaded it, you haven't configured your network connection

In either case, if you provide us with the information requested we will be able to help.

Hiya! I'm relatively new too, and I just went through this. Did you try running the setup wizards for wireless and networking/ethernet? The netwroking/ethernet will tell you whether your card is working or not, and will help you set a static IP, or use a dhcp server. I was still trying to figure out how to install a driver, when I suddenly realized the card was already working with the included driver.
