pupxusb not created bu install-usb.sh and other problems
I borrowed an older laptop that doesn't boot from USB to test the boot floppy.
The autoexec looks for a file called pupxusb as a "hint" as to which partition contains puppy.
(see http://www.goosee.com/puppy/boot2pup.htm )
That file was not put on the USB key by the install-usb.sh script so the autoexec.bat didn't work.
I manually added it to the USB key but things went to hell after that. It started booting up normally and then I got tons of messages similar to:
cp-FULL: cannot create regular file '/root/.xrun': invalid argument
the eventually:
union_fs_read_super: no directory to interpose for branch 0
after I booted to windows it looked like the startup process had attempted to unpack /root in the USB drive outside of pup0001 _________________ Mandriva LE 2005 user and puppy newbie
