I think this has broad use across a whole spectrum of users. So, I post it here.

Start with something simple. Just create a test .pet that installs a dummy file somewhere and see how you go.
Actually, with all the releases going on with Puppy, I have built a huge single .pet that basically installs everything and configures everything for me. Its not too difficult once you get into it.
Mess with it and I will try to answer questions as they come up.
Actually, Seamonkey is dead easy as it only requires the extracted directory and a .desktop file.
