Thanks robwoj44:
Having libmms on ones system fixes a longstanding problem with the modern browsers. It enables one to click on a mms:// uri and have the stream open in an external mediaplayer automatically.

Using the libmms0 package mms video streams can be played with the Opera browser and gnome-mplayer. Make sure you have a symlink libmms.so.0 pointing to the version you have of the library file. Here is how to set up Opera:
Tools>Preferences>Advanced>Programs
Click on "Add"
Protocol: mms
Open with other application: /usr/bin/gnome-mplayer
Click on "OK" twice to close both dialog boxes.
Browse to http://watch.squidtv.net/ to confirm that you can now view mms streams. Select one of the TV stations by clicking on the "Watch" icon.

I've tried both the libmms and expose-all mods on Wary09 and
still don't get mms streams at "Delicast.com".
On my Wary09 install with Seamonkey 1.1.18, mms works without
the mods.
